Incompetence in Service department

Incompetence in Service department Today when I was about to start my car it gave problems, and I called Kia Silverlakes service department and I was assited by young female, we spoke same language Setswana. Her name is Belinda. I told her that my car has a problem with Malfunction indicator lamp. She asked for my cellphone number and she told me that my car was serviced by Hatfield and I should call Hatfield branch She should have just given me Kia Road Assistant number. Then I called Hatfield, Ashanti assisted me by just giving me Road Assistance number and the problem was solved. Thank you Ashanti for you help. My worries is an the Services I got at Services department Silverlakes. The girl is incompetent and did not want to do her job. And apparently when I call road Assistant the car was booked to Silverlakes where I did not get help at first approach. (1st call). Just forgot to take the girl's name.

No answer at Kia dealers in Klerksdorp, Potch and Edenvale. Really?

Trying to book an urgent service with a Kia provider in my area. I hit a pothole and need assistance. Unfortunately after an hour of searching on Google a Kia dealership who will answer a telephone, I am really disappointed and gatvol. Definately advice my company to move over to other companies who will be able or willing to pick up phones on weekends.

POOR SERVICES

I have been in contact with Kia Menlyn since last year with regard to a Kia Sonet that we purchased and were very unhappy with. They confirmed to give us feedback and a possible solution as the Kia Sonet is the most unsafe car for woman in SA - no alarm, no automatic door locks, etc. . already two weeks ago. I have since send several messages without any success. This is unacceptable and unprofessional - still waiting for that 'customer service' . .

Preferred solution: Car to be registered immediately! Scratches and minor dent to be removed without a fight.

User's recommendation: Don't deal with Kia Diep River. If you contact the manager he is always in a meeting!!

This is my second major service at tygervalley branch. I booked it in for major service at 7.45 this morning..its 16.46 and it still hasn't been serviced. Service department is shocking . I will never bring my vehicle to this branch again. The 1st service was also bad. Still waiting for the technician to get back to me regarding clock cluster.

Gear / clutch problems Vin:MZBFC814LNN145040 / 2022 / Km 15000 Vehicle been with Kia Hillcrest (KZN) for a second inspection, related to a sticking gear problem. Gear (reverse and first) siezes when clutch is pressed and cannot be released unless vehicle is switched off. This vehicle is with Kia for 7 days with no feedback so far. Car has not been fixed

I took my car on the 2nd of January till now my car is not back,im not getting a courtesy car in the meantime? That is a new and my only car ??? Complaint of sales person

Dear Dealer Principal, I phoned your showroom on friday 29th December 2023 to enquire about a used Kia Picanto Street . I was put through to a salesperson in that department to get information on what was available on the floor and what happened to the Kia Picanto Street that was on your site for R130K with 12000 kms on the clock . First of all i was treated with no solid information and she did not know about the the car in question . I asked about other Streets and i could not hear her replies properly . I also asked for photos to be sent to my WhatsApp as she had the number and it was her suggestion . Guess what ...Nothing , no responce on my phone 082448**** , no follow up phone call . complete lack of interest !! . I thought the Car Sales market was competitive and dealers were struggling but i can only assume your dealership has a massive turnover and does not need my buisness . I am a pensioner and live in Pennington and the Kia is my Grand daughters preference . I am trying to assist her but im so glad i did not take an hours drive to get to your dealership as service like this is unacceptable to myself . There is no spark in your staff which tells me something is wrong with your dealership representing Kia south Africa . I do have some knowledge of the Service industry so i will not be phoning again . I told my Grand daughter to rather wait until she gets back to Pretoria and get hold of a proffessinal dealer . I have reported kia brackenfell to customer service to date no response. I bought a kia sonet a year and 3 months ago, from day one I reported certain things that I was not happy with, they damaged my vehicle and until today it is still not fixed.

Unsatisfied Customer- wrong diagnosis!

Dear Kia Edenvale, I write this message quite disappointed, as I have been a loyal customer and have bought 3 NEW vehicles from you, spanning 2019 to 2023. I fitted a performance exhaust on my fiancés 2020 Picanto Smart 1.2. It was running absolutely beautifully and fuel consumption was excellent. A few months later (due for a service) I started noticing that it was surging between 2000 and 3500 rpm and it had a rough idle. I took it in for its 35 000km service (assuming that it could be due to needing a service) and asked them to check to see if there was something up. The car was returned after the service and the problem was still present. We drove it for a further 2 weeks and again called to say they need to check what was causing the problem. The technician (Chad) said he would run a diagnostic. I got a call to say the car was ready for collection but they couldnt find anything wrong with it and told me it was because of the performance exhaust (which is very strange as it was running perfectly for an entire year). He said he was adamant it was the exhaust and told me to take it to the exhaust people to fit a cat fooler - he didnt want to investigate further. The exhaust guy was super confused as there was nothing wrong with the exhaust as he ran test after test. The car spent 10 days at a garage where a mechanic found 2 things wrong with the car: 1. The spark plugs had not been changed since the car was purchased 3 years ago - they were very worn. 2. The VVT solenoids were faulty and needed to be replaced at R2200. Now my questions are as follows: 1. Why didnt Kia diagnose this problem when I specifically asked them to check. 2. Why did I have to spend money on parts that should be under warranty the car is just on 3 years old. 3. Why was I turned away from a dealer that I not only had faith in, but a dealer that I have spent over 1 million rand on NEW vehicle purchases. 4. What is Kia going to do to assist me? Your response to this message is essential. Thank you!

After diagnosis by Kia Mafikeng I was quoted R285,000 for a new engine Kia SA says I get a discount for R175,000. My 2016 Sorento is 6 years old. Mileage:101,975. Fully serviced by Liquid Capital for 6 years. I bought the Kia Optima the Rio and the Workhorse. I traded the Rio in to buy the 2016 Sorento as I approached retirement. I really love Kia vehicles and convinced my staff to buy a Kia vehicle. Now I am 72 years old on pension. I don't even qualify for a loan.
